Hula Mai launched
its Road Show on Saturday, July 24, 2010. We danced and sang the prototype program
which will be our basic formula to take around the Valley:a half hour show with all live music.
It had another
level of challenge because the occasion was a Celebration of Life - of someone
who had lived in Hawaii and held a special place in his heart for the Islands.
Our mission was emotionally charged and involved more than simple
entertainment.
As of this
writing, we will do two more Road Shows before we take a late summer recess,
but we look forward to getting on the road again after mid September when we
resume our regular schedules. Hula Mai Road Shows are great opportunities for
the haumana who participate and gain wonderful experience and memories, but we
hope they will bring pleasure and joy to audiences, large and small throughout
Sonoma Valley.
